A director working in commercial, documentary and feature films, Robert is the writer & director of the crime thriller / dark comedy “Hot Pink Apocalypse”, slated to shoot summer 2026.
Winner of the prestigious James Beard Award, Robert is best known for his directorial work on "The Kitchen Sessions with Charlie Trotter" and the documentary film series "Ingredients". Robert’s breakout film “Ganbare”, written by Tom Coffman, won numerous festival awards.
Robert's work as a feature film editor include the award winning "Under The Blood Red Sun" directed by Tim Savage; "Knots" starring Illeana Douglas; "Rocket Club" and “Waikiki" starring Danielle Zalopany.
As a director, Robert’s commercial client list includes numerous Fortune 500 companies such as Salton, Sara Lee, KitchenAid, Kikkoman and Intel. He continues to accept commissions as a still photographer, film editor and sound designer.
